Your answers stay on this device. This page never sends what you type to us or anyone else. It only keeps a draft in this browser if you turn that on, and you should not turn it on if other people use your phone, tablet or computer. There is no account, no email and no cookies. If you close the page, or your phone closes it for you, your answers are gone unless you saved them to a file or turned on the draft. Save as you go. We count visits to this page with Cloudflare's cookieless counter, never what you type. See our Privacy Policy.
Open the answers file you saved last time to carry on or update your plan.
On a computer or Android phone, choose "Save as PDF" in the print window. On an iPhone, tap Print, pinch out on the preview, tap Share, then Save to Files. Anything you have not answered prints as "Not answered", so you can see what is left.
The full plan includes the FSA's safety points and what to do if things go wrong. Keep a copy at your business, where staff can see it.
Saves a file to this device, in your Downloads (on an iPhone, in the Files app). It is called food-safety-plan, then your business name and the date. Open it here next time to update your plan: when your menu, suppliers, equipment or staff change, and at every review. The file holds everything you typed, so keep it somewhere private.
A plan says what you do. Your daily records show that you do it.
ChefsRecords is an iPhone app for keeping many of those records: temperature checks, daily checklists, incidents with an owner, and staff records. It keeps the records. It does not write or replace your plan.
You do not need the app to use this plan. The FSA's paper diary, or any other system you keep up to date, works too.
Your answers are your food safety plan. Make sure they describe what your kitchen really does, follow them, and update them when your menu, suppliers, equipment or staff change. This tool does not check your answers.
This is not legal advice. If you are unsure, ask the environmental health team at your local council.
A food hygiene rating is based on how food is handled, the condition of the premises and how food safety is managed. Writing a plan does not decide it.
GOV.UK calls the written set of processes, checks, rules and records that a food business keeps a food safety management system. This builder helps you write your processes down. It does not check them.
